The Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine is planning to close 32 of mine
The Ukrainian government plans for 2015-2019 years to 32 close unprofitable mines, according to the programme of activities of the Cabinet for 2015-2016, which on Wednesday submitted to Parliament for approval. According to the document, the Government intends to privatize 37 mines, to preserve shaft 24 and 32 close unprofitable mines, reports TASS. Cabinet, said the program has identified one of the priorities of its activities purchase of coal on the world market. The government also wants to 2017 to increase energy tariffs for residents to economically justified levels. Ukraine is experiencing serious problems with electricity: performance HPS lowest for the last 45 years, destroyed the power and transport infrastructure in the Donbass. In the country there is a shortage of coal to the power station, and the temperature on the streets below normal. The Director of one of the Ukrainian TPPs told about the catastrophic situation in power plants due to shortage of coal. Last Saturday it was announced that cars with 50 thousand tons of Russian coal, which for several days had been blocked at the border line with Russia began to arrive to Ukraine. Remember also, on the first day of the week energy Minister of Russia Alexander Novak said that Ukraine has filed a petition to increase energy supplies from Russia. While Novak did not specify whether Russia is ready to supply this amount of power in Ukraine.
