Charity program "World without tears" was held in Moscow

<em>VTB Bank summed up the activities of the corporate charity program "World without tears" in 2014.</em>

11 December in Moscow's city hospital held its regular share of the charitable program of VTB Bank "World without tears". In the framework of the programme, the Bank has financed the acquisition of the ventilator for the Department of resuscitation and intensive therapy at this hospital. The value of donated equipment amounted to 2.5 million rubles.

Specially for the young patients of the hospital VTB has prepared a children's festival with the participation of actors theatre's "Courage". This is a real interactive theatre, where children are directly involved in the play.

In addition, the event was attended by the players of FC "Dynamo" Yegor Danilkin and Anton Ivanov. They held a quiz for children undergoing treatment in the hospital, and gave special prizes to the winners of the quiz.

The star Ambassador of the charity program of VTB Bank "World without tears" and participant of the press conference was Ksenia Alferova, Russian actress of theater, film and television. She is a perfectionist in everything he undertakes and actively supports those who need attention and care. As a mother, she understands how important it is to draw public attention to the problems of child development and health: "In my life in the first place is always family, so I, like anyone else, can you imagine what mother feels when a child is ill. It is very important that the assistance was provided promptly and doctors were provided with the necessary medicines and equipment. Well, that in Russia there is a socially responsible business, understands how important targeted assistance to children's hospitals".

Today's press conference was the final in 2014. This year has been a significant geographic expansion of the program to 20 regions of Russia (in 2013, the shares were held in 15 regions of Russia). During the year the necessary medical equipment from the Bank received 25 children's hospitals in Moscow, Belgorod, Kostroma, Tomsk, Russia, Lipetsk, Tula, Togliatti, Russia, Novosibirsk, Orenburg, Irkutsk, Krasnoyarsk, Ryazan, Omsk, Naberezhnye Chelny, Chelyabinsk, Tambov, Yakutia, Tyumen, Tver, Saransk and Volgograd. The total amount for which the Bank provided assistance to hospitals, amounted to about 40 million rubles.

Daily in Russian hospitals are thousands of children who need medical care. Often medical care and rescue of a child's life depends on the number of institutions with medicines and modern specialized equipment. That is why in 2003 was established charity program "World without tears", in which VTB Bank finances the purchase of expensive medical equipment, medicines and supplies for children's hospitals. The program is focused strictly on support for children's health, long-term and absolutely targeted. Over the past eleven years of the Program assisted more than 80 hospitals and other children's health facilities in the capital and regions of the Russian Federation.

Thus, the geography program has almost 50 regions.
