The head of the member countries of the CSTO summit in the capital of Russia will adopt a joint statement expressed concern about the growing danger of terrorism, the spread of extremism to Central Asia as well as among them with regard to Afghanistan, told reporters assistant to the President of the Russian Federation Yuri Ushakov.
according to him, the first will be a Council meeting in narrow format, with participation of the head of the country. Then there will be a meeting of the Council in an expanded format. According to the results of the summit is expected to sign the 22 documents, among them one message, 19 decisions of the Council and 2 of the Protocol.
Ushakov said that among the decisions that are scheduled to sign, there are documents concerning the anti-drug strategy, the plan of measures on realization of the main directions of development of system of collective response to the emergency situation, the Protocol on cooperation in combating illegal activities in the information sphere.
" the appeal of the heads of the CSTO member States which expressed concern about the growing danger of terrorism, the spread of extremism in Central Asia and among them with regard to Afghanistan, stresses the need to restore peace in Ukraine and peaceful settlement of the Nagorno-Karabakh problem. Fixed position on the main regional problems, " said Ushakov.
He said that during tomorrow's session of the presidency of the statutory bodies of the CSTO will go from Russia to Tajikistan. The head of Tajikistan will lead tomorrow's Council meeting.
Also, as said Ushakov, significant attention will be paid to the problems of combating drug trafficking, most importantly of Afghan origin, cyber crime, and the enforcement of decisions of the last summit on the promotion of Tajikistan in strengthening the Tajik-Afghan border.
