Dvorkovich and Novak meet with the Vice-President of the European Commission
The authorities of the EU and Russia want to maintain the reliability of energy policy in the European Union, said Deputy Prime Minister Arkady Dvorkovich at the meeting with Vice-President of the EC on energenius Marasem Sefcovic. The meeting involved the Russian energy Minister Alexander Novak.
Sefcovic on Wednesday, has already met with the head of Gazprom Alexey Miller. Sefcovic arrived in the Russian capital to discuss energosotrudnichestve, future natural gas supplies to Ukraine in the spring or summer of 2015 and the issues associated with the cancellation of the construction of the gas pipeline " South stream ".
During his welcome speech Dvorkovich expressed satisfaction that the visit of the delegation of the European Commission took place, despite the current geopolitical difficulties.
" It is important to keep the vehicle for communication. The goal we have in common - to provide reliability, energy policy and security in the European Union and the Eurasian continent, regardless of the global turmoil. In the coming months we are supposed to communicate in different venues, in the most different formats to provide such security, " Dvorkovich said.
