The head of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko has signed the Law on the openness of the use of public funds, adopted by the Verkhovna Rada in mid-February, said on Tuesday on the Internet office of the Ukrainian President.
According to the document, public funds are: funds of state and local budgets, issued under government guarantees the loans, the funds of the National and other state credit institutions, state trust funds, pension Fund and funds of the state social insurance and income of state-owned companies.
The document defines the rules and procedures of providing access to information about the use of these funds. This access must be " free and voluntary ".
The law begins to take effect six months from the date of its promulgation.
