The head of Finland nourishes the hope that relations between Russia and the EU will not deteriorate
The head of Finland Sauli Niinist? at a meeting with German Chancellor Angela Merkel expressed the hope that the relations between the EU and Russia will not deteriorate in the future.

Relations between Russia and the West have deteriorated due to the situation in Ukraine. At the end of July, the EU and the United States from the point of sanctions against certain individuals and organizations have moved to the measures against entire sectors of the Russian economy. In response, Russia restricted imports of food items from countries that have imposed with respect to penalties: USA, EU, Canada, Australia and Norway. The prohibition also included beef, pork, poultry, sausages, fish, vegetables, fruits, dairy products and some other products.

As informs, Niinist? expressed the hope that " Relations between Russia and the EU will not deteriorate."
