To the Parliament the draft law on the recognition of members of the UPA freedom fighters
The Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine the draft law on the recognition of the members of the Organization of Ukrainian nationalists (OUN) and the Ukrainian insurgent army (UPA) as " fighters for the freedom and independence of Ukraine ", the document is published on the Parliament.
The proposal changes the status of the Ukrainian nationalist armed groups and their veterans were made by the deputies from the faction " Batkivshchyna ".

The Ukrainian insurgent army was created on 14 October 1942 by the decision of the management of the Organization of Ukrainian nationalists.
