The import of gas to Ukraine from Europe in the amount of about 20 billion cubic meters in practice fully covers the needs of the country, said the Director of business development of the NJSC "Naftogaz of Ukraine" Yuriy Vitrenko at the meeting of the Fund for the development of competition on Thursday.
"as soon as possible we built a new gas pipeline Vojany-Uzhgorod, which currently enables fifteen billion cubic meters of gas to get from Slovakia. It is a reliable route. General our power, together with Hungary and Poland approximately currently 20 billion cubic meters, in practice, completely meets our needs, " said Vitrenko.
He also said that as soon as Ukraine did, relations with the Russian firm Gazprom switched to a completely different plane.
"Now Gazprom realizes He's just forced to compete on price, otherwise we won't buy his gas. Everyone in the market understands that we finally have a market value, " added Vitrenko.
