The British-Dutch company Royal Dutch Shell is considering the termination of a project for the development of shale gas in Ukraine because of the conflict in the East of the country, informs.
The firm said that the execution of an agreement with Ukrainian state company "Nadra of Yuzivska "impossible" due to force majeure since July of last year. The rules of implementation of the agreement has changed significantly since then, as it was concluded in 2013, says the Agency.
however, in Ukrainian organizations have declared that have no information about the fact that Shell is going to leave the project, reported in the publication.
This is not the 1st case where a foreign organization out of the agreements with Ukraine on the development of energy resources. So, last year the American Company Chevron decided in the sole right to withdraw from the Treaty on the development of the olesska field. The firm withdrew from the project 10 billion dollars.
