The head of Estonia Toomas Hendrik Ilves will travel requirements of Ukraine on the recognition of her rights to membership in the EU, informs.
"To say that We won't do reform, as long as you don't give us a promise (on membership) - this reminds me of a scene from some movie, when the robber runs into a Bank, puts a gun to his temple and says," Give me the money or I'll shoot myself, " said Ilves at the Symposium on security GLOBSEC in Bratislava.
Estonian leader called this way is wrong." To promise the collapse of your country if you are not invited (in the EU), is ineffective, " he added.
Ilves said that the EU has long refused to recognize, and the prospect of membership of Estonia. Along with this, according to him, Estonia is not demanded from the EU no promises.
"We did not require any confessions, there was not a single statement about the future, We just worked, made reforms," he stressed.
