North Korea has boycotted the games in South Korea
Another resounding uproar erupted in the world of sports. Team of the DPRK categorically refused to participate in the Universiade in Gwangju, South Korea, in protest against the opening in Seoul of the UN office.

As informs "Sports-the Express train", the grounds of refusal of North Korea from participating in the competition are called political differences. For a start it concerns projects opening in Seoul of the UN office for civil rights, to be held in the near future.

It was expected that North Korea will send to the contest that will be held from 3 to 14 July, 75 athletes and 33 officials. However the DPRK with the help of e-mail informed the organising Committee that the team will not arrive in Gwangju. "In the letter referred to as political reasons for the refusal, even the opening of the UN office and military confrontation," said the adept of the organizing Committee.

Note that the North Koreans are not boycotted tournaments held on location southern neighbors since 1988, when the delegation categorically refused to go to the Olympics in Seoul. Previously, the DPRK playfully boycotted the 1986 Asian games. Since then, athletes from North Korea participated in competitions in South Korea, even at the Asian games 2014 in Incheon.
