The head of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko considers it necessary to try to finish the reform on decentralization of power to 25 October in order to defend the repeated local elections.
according to the Constitution of Ukraine, local elections have to pass in the country at the end of October. Prime Minister Arseniy Yatsenyuk did not rule out that, if the authorities fail to conduct the reform of decentralization, it will be necessary to conduct fresh local elections on the basis of the new Constitution.
"Absolutely a good suggestion. It will be an additional motivation for us to try to finish a constitutional reform in terms of decentralization - and, if possible, to separately count the votes in the part of judicial reform and parliamentary and judicial privacy - finish before October 25, " - said Poroshenko on Tuesday during the meeting of the National Council reform, responded to the proposal Yatsenyuk.

Adopted by the contact group on settling the situation in Donbas on 12 February, the package of measures assumes that for final resolution of the conflict situation in Ukraine should be prepared and carried out constitutional reform, which should be a deep decentralization of public administration.
