The Ministry of foreign Affairs of Austria announced its decision to close embassies in Latvia, Lithuania, Estonia, in order to open them in "strategically key locations," writes the Latvian Agency.
the foreign Minister of Austria Sebastian Kurz said the German Agency APA that it will be saved to 34 million euros.
According to Kurz, Austria wishes to open an Embassy in " strategically more major countries, such as Belarus, Moldova, Georgia, Qatar and Singapore. The Minister also said that the closure of embassies is not related to the crisis in Ukraine or the problems of immigrants in the European Union. Kurtz suggested that the diplomatic desire of Austria to the Baltic States will be the residence of the Ambassador in Stockholm.
