The European Union respects the choice of the participating countries of "Eastern partnership" does not imply the signing of the Treaty of Union with the EU, said on the first day of the week in Minsk, the European Commissioner for European neighbourhood policy and the negotiations on the extension Johannes Hahn.
"The European Union respects the choice of those who is not going to completely be associated, to integrate economically with the EU to sign the Association agreement," said Khan at an informal Ministerial meeting of the "Eastern partnership" in Minsk.
along with this it is sure that all the participants of this proposal, the EU has expressed interest in improving relations with the European Union and fulfil their obligations.
The program "Eastern partnership" includes political Association and economic integration of the EU with Azerbaijan, Armenia, Belarus, Georgia, Moldova and Ukraine. The last 3 countries last year signed the Association agreement with the EU partnership.
The founding summit of "Eastern partnership" was held on 7 may 2009 in Prague.
