The European Union is aimed at long-term support to Ukraine, said on Thursday the EU Commissioner for humanitarian aid and crisis management Christos Stylianides in the process of meeting with Prime Minister Arseniy Yatsenyuk, reports the press service of the Ukrainian Cabinet of Ministers.
on Wednesday, it was announced that the European Commission will allocate fifteen million euros of humanitarian aid to the victims because of the conflict in Eastern Ukraine. So, the total amount of assistance which the Commission is providing humanitarian purposes, will reach 62 million euros.
"Christos Stylianides noticed that the EU aimed at long-term support of Ukraine. He also emphasized the strong support for the territorial integrity and independence of Ukraine from the EU ", - is informed in the report of the Cabinet.
