Microsoft fired 8 thousand people
The American company Microsoft continues to struggle with the unprofitability quite unpopular methods. In the main IT companies is expected a new wave of layoffs. This time without work will remain almost 8 thousand followers of mobile units.

Another bad news came to Microsoft employees. CEO Satya Nadella announced yet another restructuring of the mobile units purchased from company Nokia in 2014. In the coming months is expected to decrease to 7.8 thousand employees, of which 2.3 million will be deprived of work in Finland. With all of this, the total staff of Microsoft in the country is 3.5 million people.

How convinces the head of the firm, layoffs associated with what will be "profound restructuring" of assets acquired after the acquisition of Nokia Devices and Services, including the write-off of 7.6 billion dollars of spending their funds. Without going into a lengthy discussion, the Nokia will be revised, which will require Microsoft's additional investment in the business from 750 million to 850 million dollars. Best reception to cover expenses than the dismissal of staff, U.S. companies have not developed.

As informs The Wall Street Journal, the deal to acquire Nokia Devices and Services was estimated at 9.4 billion dollars. The then CEO Steve Ballmer wanted to be competitive against Apple, combining Finnish technology company and software Windows. But the result was that the revenue from phones on the Windows platform did not justify the cost of the acquisition of the mobile business of Nokia, and now Microsoft is forced to repeatedly seek funds for restructuring. Primarily for this fire workers in Finland.

Remember, in 2014, Microsoft has reduced by 18 thousand people in different departments. With all this, the total number of employees at the end of March 2015 was $ 118 thousand..
