MOSCOW, 13 Jul - RIA Novosti/Prime. Ukraine wants for three years to double the volume of grain exports and to begin deliveries on fresh markets, for example, in Asia, Africa and the middle East, said the Minister of agrarian policy and food of Ukraine Alex Pavlenko.
in his article in (WSJ) Pavlenko said that American organizations are willing to invest $ 1 billion in the development of agricultural machinery in Ukraine. At the same time fresh investment will expand the capacity of ports and Railways of the country.
"It will help Ukraine, which already is the third-largest grain exporter, to double exports over the next three years. We focus on fresh markets, including developing countries who suffer from hunger in Asia, Africa and the middle East, to help US to promote stability, peace and democracy in the world, " writes Pavlenko.
However, he said that the agricultural sector of Ukraine suffered significant losses due to hostilities in the East of the country, but also due to the loss of Crimea. At the same time, points to the Minister, in the 2014-2015 crop year, the country increased grain exports by 4, 6% to 34, 6 million tons." We are determined to intensify reform, " he stresses.
One of the directions of reforms in the agricultural sector is the privatization of agricultural plants." We have plans to sell 254 state agrarian organization before the end of the year, " informs Pavlenko.
