Ukraine and Canada signed the document on completion of negotiations on creation of free trade zone, informs on Tuesday a press-service of the Ukrainian government.
"On Tuesday, July 14, in the framework of the working visit of Prime Minister of Ukraine Arseniy Yatsenyuk in Ottawa signed the document on completion of negotiations regarding the establishment of a free trade zone between Ukraine and Canada ", - is informed in the report.
On behalf of the government of Ukraine the document was signed by the trade Commissioner of the country Natalia Gaina, on behalf of the government of Canada Commissioner of the Ministry of foreign Affairs, trade and development - the Director of the division of market access Marvin Hildebrand.
Yatsenyuk said that the signing of this document Is " opening a new page in bilateral relations between Ukraine and Canada ".
"It's bound to deepen Ukrainian-canadian cooperation, increase bilateral investment. This is another step to make our country prosperous ", - noted he.

according to the press service of the Cabinet of Ministers, the provisions of the draft Treaty on free trade between Ukraine and Canada provide, for example, the deepening of trade and economic cooperation, as well as among them in the trade of industrial and agricultural goods, protection of intellectual property, public procurement regulations.
Immediately after the Treaty's entry into force, Canada will open Ukrainian exporters free access to 98% of their market items. At the same time Ukraine before to liberalize the market, completely abolishing import duties will have a transition period.
in the long term for business the contract will be the opportunity to diversify trade flows, will be the impetus for the modernization of the Ukrainian factories for the production of items with high added value for export to Canada, stresses the Cabinet.
