Foreign Minister of Ukraine Pavlo Klimkin said in a conversation with Minister of foreign Affairs of Russia Sergey Lavrov on the need to urgently start preparing for the elections in the Donbass.
"Klimkin also said that as part of the implementation of the Minsk agreements ought to immediately start the real work on the preparation monitored by the OSCE local elections within certain districts of Donetsk and Lugansk regions ", - is informed in the report on the Internet office of the Ukrainian Foreign Ministry.
August 7, Chapter proclaimed DND Alexander Zakharchenko said that the Donetsk people's Republic has determined the final date of the local elections, they will be held on October 18. In DND stated that the elections in the Donetsk and Luhansk people's republics will be held legally agreed upon with the authorized DND and LNR, but such approval will not be contrary to the law on elections in Ukraine. For his part, the head of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko has said that the elections organized by the authorities DND and LNR, will have devastating consequences for the Minsk process and will lead to further aggravation of the situation in the Donbass. Before the first day of the week in the Ministry of foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation stated that during the conversation, Lavrov said Klimkin on the need for direct dialogue between Kiev and Donbass.
