Medvedev in Krasnodar will discuss issues of import substitution
Prime Minister Dmitry Medvedev on Tuesday in Krasnodar region will hold the first meeting of the legal Commission on the problems of import substitution, where he will discuss the development of agriculture, equally in the course of visit to the region scheduled to meet with activists of the local branch of the party " United Russia ".
As informs a press-service of the Cabinet, participation in the meeting will be Deputy Prime Minister Arkady Dvorkovich and Dmitry Rogozin, Minister of agriculture Alexander Tkachev, the Minister of economic development Alexey Ulyukaev, Minister Mikhail Abyzov, Authorized ministries and agencies.
in addition, the head of government will visit the production facilities of CJSC "Central" North-Caucasian zonal research Institute of horticulture and viticulture.
before the Prime Minister signed documents on the establishment of the government Council for import substitution and became its Chairman. In its structure created two sub-commissions: on civil industries and the military-industrial complex.
The Commission meeting will be held at least once in 3 months.
According to the Minister, the Commission seeks to make rules for the production of those items that previously were imported.
The problem of import substitution became especially prominent after the punishment of the West against Russia related to the situation around Ukraine. Punishment has affected the supply in the defence sector, the energy sector and new technologies, Ukraine itself also halted cooperation with Russia in military-technical sphere.
in response, Russia has restricted the import of certain food items from countries that impose punishment. It also demanded more attention from country to increase the development of agro-industrial complex of the country.
