The Ukrainian Party "Self-help" put forward the head of the party Andrey Sadovyi candidate for the position of head of the city for the upcoming 25 October local elections. This was decided at the party Congress on Tuesday.
The party "unity of" Self-help " was registered in 2012, its leader is the incumbent Mayor of Lviv Andriy Sadovyi. The party was held in the Ukrainian Parliament in early elections in the autumn of 2014, however, the Garden has decided to remain on a post of the mayor of Lviv. The head of the party Oksana Syroid is the Vice-speaker of the current Parliament, the party in Parliament in the ruling coalition.
The party Congress also approved a list of regional, district, municipal and village councils, in which the Party would nominate its representatives, in total more than 200." Self-help " will take part in the elections in all regions of Ukraine, but not in all towns and villages.
According to the decision of the Congress candidate for the post of the mayor of the Ukrainian capital nominated the head of the faction "Self-help" in the Kiev city Council Sergey Gusovsky, who is the owner of several restaurants in Kiev.
According to a recent decision of the Parliament, regional, city and district councils will be elected by proportional representation with the so-called open lists, and the election of people's deputies of village and settlement councils - the majority system of relative majority. The threshold for parties increased from 3% to 5%.
