The head of the Ministry of communications of Russia Nikolay Nikiforov made a call for national civil servants. The Minister announced that the state apparatus should be completely taken out of Google and Yahoo, and messenger WhatsApp in state correspondence.
Taking into account the opinion Nikiforova, the application of state officials for official correspondence Google, Yahoo and WhatsApp is strictly prohibited, they can use these services solely for its own purposes. "We are a free nation, they can do anything for their own purposes, but if there passed some elements of the service information classified as "restricted", that is, of course, is unacceptable," Nikiforov announced in an interview with TV channel "Russia 24".
"I think that except for some egregious violations of these rules, the officials understand this responsibility," the Minister added. With all this, it is unknown what punishment would expect officials who disobeys the ban.
Earlier, Secretary of the Russian security Council Nikolai Patrushev at a meeting in Vladivostok among other things criticized civil servants for the use of overseas services such as Google, Yahoo and WhatsApp and demanded from the governors to take measures to solve this problem. The view was also expressed that this is a systemic issue for the whole of Russia, but in the far East, it is particularly acute. Secretary of the security Council stressed that the use of civil servants abroad resources to address work-related issues involves serious danger.
