The Minister of cultural Affairs of great Britain John Whittingdale at the meeting with Vice Prime Minister of the Russian Federation Olga Golodets said about the importance to develop with Russia cultural and scientific links, but explained and political problems, saying that Russia "must fully respect the sovereignty of Ukraine" and called on all parties to implement the Minsk consensus, said on the last working day of the week, the press service of the British government.
The meeting was held in London on Thursday, when Golodets participated in the events for the opening of the space exhibition at the science Museum.
"I showed that there are issues on which Britain and Russia have strong disagreements, such as Ukraine. I noticed the need for Russia in full force respected the sovereignty and territorial integrity of Ukraine, and all sides (of the conflict) in full force complied with the Minsk consensus ", - is reported in the statement of Whittingdale given by the Department following the meeting with Olga Golodets.
