The national Bank of Ukraine supports the development of cashless treatment and to decrease the proportion of cash in the economy to 12% in 2020, according to a report controller on the first day of the week on Facebook.
"The NBU supports further development of non-cash turnover and the reduction in the share of cash in the economy to 12% in 2020 (by the end of 2014 it was 18%) ", - is informed in the report.
according to the NBU, since the beginning of 2015 the level of cash in the economy decreased by 2, 3% to 276, 3 billion hryvnia (12, 8 billion dollars at current official rate) at the end of August.
The regulator points out that Ukrainians actively pay payment cards for goods and services on the Internet. In the 2nd quarter of 2015 Internet payments using payment cards amounted to more than 45 billion UAH (around 2 billion).
