The UN has proposed to introduce a new single currency

The President of Kazakhstan called upon the powers within the UN to consider the introduction of a single supranational currency. Nursultan Nazarbayev believes that the introduction of a global currency would meet the goals and objectives of the XXI century. Today's reserve currency does not meet the modern aspects, he said.

Across the speeches at the 70th session of the UN General Assembly the President of Kazakhstan declared that terrorism, migration and other adverse global trends is a results of large - scale financial crisis. According to him, the fight against global crisis need to begin with putting in order of issue and circulation of reserve currencies, which currently do not meet the criteria of legality, democracy, competitiveness, productivity and international control.

"In the twenty-first century the world needs a new monetary instruments properties. We need to combine the efforts of the member countries of the UN to study supranational world currency that meets the goals and objectives of large-scale sustainable development and prosperity", - believes Nursultan Nazarbayev.

"I propose to create a project of major strategic initiatives-2045, he said. - Its value is to give the world the new development trend on the basis of objective conditions of access of all Nations to the global infrastructure, resources and markets, as well as endemic responsibility for the development of the population of the earth." In this regard, the Kazakhstan leader considers it necessary to reform the Economic and Social Council of the UN in the global development Council.

"In its composition could include, along with an elected General Assembly of the UN States parties, all heads of the specialized agencies of the Organization, including the International monetary Fund. The Council should be entrusted with global financial regulator", - announced the President of Kazakhstan.

Nazarbayev among other things, invited the member countries of the UN to start thinking about moving the headquarters of the organization from USA. "70 years ago, when the unemployed instead of the League of Nations in Geneva, the United Nations was created, it was decided to place its headquarters in new York. This was due to the fact that at that time increased the role of Western hemisphere in international Affairs, centre for development world has moved from the Old world to the New," - said Nazarbayev.

"In the twenty-first century, the center of development shifted to Asia - the biggest continent of the world where lives 2 thirds of the population of the planet, focused Grand resources. A great leap forward in the emerging economies of Asia has set a new reality in global processes.
