Died Director of "king Kong"
Died the great English Director John Guillermin. The wizard who gave the world "king Kong" and "the towering Inferno", did not live up to its own 90th anniversary of a few weeks.

On the death of the Director told his friend - the head of the firm Twilight Time Movies Nick Redman. He called Guillermina "restless and full of life even after 80 years" and "a gentleman of the old school". The Director's widow Mary adopted her husband's death, adding that Guillermin "unexpected passed away on Sunday, September 28". "Sadly, but with pride that I now are called Mary Guillermin, widow of a great man - a gentle, passionate and enthusiastic," wrote Mary in Facebook.

English film Director, writer and producer John Guillermin was born in London, his parents were French. After demobilization from the Royal air force at the age of 22 he began a directing career, having been engaged in filming documentaries. In 1950 he moved to Hollywood and switched to feature films. On account of his more than 20 paintings, most famously "the towering Inferno" (1974), "king Kong" (1976) with Jessica Lange, "king Kong lives" (1986) and "Death on the Nile".

"The towering Inferno" - the most titled work of Guillermina. The film received 3 Oscars - for art direction, cameraman and actor 2 intentions. Starring - Steve McQueen, Paul Newman, William Holden and faye dunaway. One of the most disastrous films of John was "Sheena". For this tape he was nominated for "Razzie".
