Hollywood actor johnny Depp has announced that he does not wish to receive the award "Oscar". The star of "Pirates of the Caribbean" confessed that she's no one competes and just does what he likes.

At a press conference devoted to the showing of the crime drama "Black mass" at the London film festival, johnny Depp has announced that he does not wish to receive the award "Oscar". "The idea of "Oscar" is contained in the fact that you're with someone compete, and I have no one to compete. I just do what they want to do. From time to time people don't like that and it's okay," he was quoted by BBC News.

Additionally, the actor was informed that he was nominated to receive the prestigious award several times. "The nominations were many, but I do not wish to receive the statuette and to say about it", - he stressed.

Meanwhile, according to experts of the "Black mass" in which Depp played the lead role, is likely to be nominated for the award "Oscar". A film about the Boston gangster Whitey the Bulger will be released in Russian cinemas on October 29.

Johnny Depp has never received an Oscar, but was nominated three times - for the pictures "Sweeney Todd: the demon Barber of fleet street", "Wonderland" and "pirates of the Caribbean: the curse of the Black pearl". Meanwhile, the publication notes that the actor has largely marine in character of a pirate and goes out of way even in real life. So Depp continues to wear a gold crown on the tooth, like Jack Sparrow, and occasionally speaks to inherent in his character accent.
