in July last year the court of the Indian state of Tamil Nadu has closed the case under the criminal code and was cleared of all charges regarding the members of the crew and guards of the vessel, but they are until now not have the opportunity to return home, since the court's decision was appealed to the Supreme court of India. The state government of Tamil Nadu has banned the citizens of Estonia to leave the country before the Supreme court decides on the case.
"The Supreme court of India remanded the case guards to the Supreme court of the state of Tamil Nadu in July, setting the term of consideration of six months. These six months will expire at the end of December. So the final decision can be made on the past 2 months. With high probability the decision would be acquittal, " said Sharma in conversation Estonian edition.
