Moscow and Tokyo are considering the question of a possible visit of the President of the Russian Federation Vladimir Putin to Japan, said the official authorized the Ministry of foreign Affairs of Japan Yasuhisa Kawamura.
"It's all based on consensus between the leaders of the 2 countries, there was agreement that the Visit will take place before the end of the current year ", – writes the news Agency.
October 14, press Secretary of the head of the Russian Federation Dmitry Peskov said that the Timing of Putin's visit to Tokyo until not defined. Before that, the Secretary General of the Japanese Cabinet of Ministers of acehide Suga said that the Japanese side is " preparation for the implementation (visit of the President of Russia) at the appropriate time before the end of this year." Suga also said that the timing of the trip is determined taking into account various factors. On 28 September the President of Russia Vladimir Putin during his stay in the headquarters of the UN met with the Prime Minister of Japan Shinzo Abe. The President of Russia at the meeting said that the two countries have perspectives for improvement of trade turnover, the volume of which in the last period of time has decreased. He also revealed that currently there is some intensification of contacts in different directions. At the meeting, the leaders agreed to continue the dialogue, using international forums. Putin's visit to Tokyo was scheduled for the fall of 2014, but was not held because of the international complications of the situation in connection with crisis in Ukraine. The timing of the visit has been rescheduled for the current year, but the actual date until not named.
