The Communist party of Ukraine (CPU) filed a lawsuit against Ukraine to the European court of human rights because of the decision of the Ministry of justice to impose a ban on her to participate in the elections.

So, the Communists were unable to vote in local elections on October 25. The Communist party called the ban an attempt to deny voters an alternative to the existing authorities. Later, the Communist party challenged in court the decision of the justice Ministry, but the Ukrainian court did not want to cancel it.
"Dependent Ukrainian courts and the Ministry of justice, did not want to restore the legitimate rights of the Communists to the will. For this reason, guided by the norms of international law, the Communist party of Ukraine forced to turn to the European court of human rights to restore justice " - said on the last working day of the week on the Internet representation of the party.
