Rada adopted the anti-corruption laws for visa-free regime with the EU
The Parliament of Ukraine at the meeting on Tuesday took a key anti-corruption laws, necessary For visa-free regime with the EU.
Kiev and the EU are implementing a program of liberalization of the visa regime. The Ukrainian authorities hope to receive a visa-free regime with the European Union in 2016. To do this, the Europeans require from Kiev to intensify the battle against illegal activity of officials, to reform at the border and bring the identity documents to the European model in the form of a biometric ID card.
"We were able to enter the consideration of most main anti-corruption laws, which provide for the implementation by Ukraine of the procedure for visa liberalization. It was a hard and concerted work but I am pleased that Parliament was able to unite and was able to vote under these laws positively, " said 1st Vice-speaker of the Ukrainian Parliament Andrei Parubiy, explaining the results of the expression of will.
At this point in time Parliament has approved in total five of the 13 laws for visa-free regime. The remaining eight draft laws adopted by the Verkhovna Rada in the first reading.
