The eighth forum of European and Asian media ended in the Russian capital
The forum of European and Asian media (FEAM), organized by MIA " Russia Today ", ended in the Russian capital. A key theme of the FEAM-2015 was " Sustainable partnership in an uncertain world ". More than 70 Directors and media professionals of the media business from the 14 post-Soviet countries (Azerbaijan, Armenia, Belarus, Georgia, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Latvia, Lithuania, Moldova, Russia, Tajikistan, Uzbekistan, Ukraine, Estonia) participated in the forum. FEAM-2015 opened with a plenary session with the participation of the General Director MIA "Russia Today" Dmitry Kiselev and chief editor MIA " Russia Today ", the chief editor of RT Margarita Simonyan.

Opening the Forum, General Director of MIA "Russia Today" Dmitry Kiselev said that journalism should conform to its time and to respond to the request of the audience: "do we Have to give up trying to explain the world? As soon as you give up, the audience will abandon you, because the citizens are faced with the need to understand the modern world in order to take vital decisions for themselves and their families ", - said Kiselev.

Speaking at the plenary meeting, Margarita Simonyan said that " between the Russian world and the Western world there are no insurmountable ideological confrontation that was in the days of the USSR, the fact that there is a resolvable questions. Simonyan also said that " the world is now looking in the wrong direction, looking not towards the real threats that threaten us all, wherever we live, wherever we went, wherever we were. Today Russia and the West need to unite in the battle against a common danger of the ISIL terrorists, "- said the chief editor MIA "Russia Today" and chief editor of TV channel RT.

in the process of the forum the participants discussed the cooperation of the media States of the former USSR in conditions of different political and economic processes. The main session of the forum held in the format of thematic discussion. In the composition of the list of activities FEAM - 2015 held a special session with the head of the Department of information and press of the Ministry of foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation Maria Zakharova, as well as with the writer, writer Viktor Erofeev and chief editor of the newspaper " Tomorrow ", Chairman of the Izborsk club Alexander Prokhanov.


Speakers of the first session on the theme "the Eurasian information space: problems and solutions" were: General Director of news Agency "ARMENPRESS" (Armenia) Aram Ananyan, chief editor of the newspaper "Kazakhstan Pravda" (Kazakhstan) Sabit Maldybaev, Deputy chief editor of the newspaper "Izvestia" (Russia) Boris Mezhuev, the General Director of the political conjuncture Center (Russia) Sergei Mikheev, Deputy head of the State Duma on CIS Affairs, Eurasian integration and relations with compatriots (Russia) Tatiana Moskalkova, Director of national information Agency "Kabar" (Kyrgyzstan) Kuban Taabaldiev, the General Director of the all-Russian Center for the study of the opinions of a large number of citizens (Russia) Valery Fedorov.
