In Athens there was a demonstration calling for the banning of actions by Turkey, which on November 24 was shot down on the border with Syria Russian bomber su-24. The event started with a rally at Syntagma square and continued with a procession to the Turkish Embassy.
"We stand in solidarity with the Russian President, - the promotion of Ankara is a stab in the back. This is a stab in the back not only of the Russian Federation. This is a stab in the back of the international anti-terrorist coalition. We demand to call to responsibility political management of Turkey, and the individual perpetrators of this crime", - announced the instigators of the rally.
The participants supported Russia's actions in Syria, aimed against terrorists, and at the same time condemned the use of force by Turkey. In their opinion, actions of the Turkish authorities do not stand up to scrutiny in the current environment.
Earlier in the present campaign against attacks from the Turkish air force on Russian bomber su-24M in Syria took place at the premises of the Turkish Embassy in the capital of Bulgaria Sofia. The rally, sanctioned by the political party "Ataka", was attended by about 200 people. Protesters carrying Bulgarian, Russian and Syrian flags and banners reading "retribution is inevitable" and "Russia, we are with you".
