More than 40 monuments to Soviet figures excluded from the state register of Ukraine
Vice Prime Minister of Ukraine Vyacheslav Kirilenko excluded from the state register 41, the monument to Lenin and to the fighters for Soviet power.

"Signed a decree that there should be no in the register of monuments 41 of the monument to Lenin and to the fighters for Soviet power. The state no longer protects them, " wrote Kirilenko in his own microblog on Twitter on the last working day of the week.

in may in Ukraine entered into force adopted by the Verkhovna Rada the law " about the condemnation of the Communist and Nazi regimes ", for example, prohibiting propaganda of Soviet symbols. The legislative act also prohibited the public use of symbols of the Communist regime. The document caused a great resonance in society, because it had not clearly written the boundaries of its use. The authorities promised to amend the law changes and to remove inaccuracies.

Ukrainian Institute of national remembrance in October published a list, which includes 520 historical figures, whose activities are subject to the law of decommunization and for this reason their names must disappear from geographical names.
