North Korea launched another missile on Thursday morning, but the launch was unsuccessful, according to the United States and South Korea.
Team USA said that it has discovered a rocket that may have been class "Musudan" missiles, medium-range, at 6.00 PM Eastern time, or about 6.30 am Moscow time on Thursday in Pyongyang. The joint chiefs of staff of South Korea, said in his statement that the launch took place close to the airport Banghyon in Kusong city.
"Our military strongly condemned North Korea for conducting illegal continuously provocative actions. We carefully prepared for any possible additional provocations," the statement said. Run made just 4 days after US Strategic command has discovered another North Korean missile test in the North-Western part of the city Kosong.
"We strongly condemn this and other recent missile tests of North Korea that violate the resolution of the UN Security Council, explicitly prohibiting North Korea launches using ballistic missile technology," said commander, U.S. Navy Gary Ross in a statement.
"We urge North Korea to refrain from actions that will further increase tensions in the region and instead focus on taking concrete steps towards fulfilling its international obligations," he added.
Unsuccessful rocket launch was made in less than one day after press Secretary of the United States John Kerry pledged to deploy a missile defense system, THAAD to South Korea "as soon as possible." THAAD can shoot down short, medium and intermediate ballistic missiles and the planned deployment by the United States, in the face of objections from China and North Korea.
