Japan has suffered from flooding
Nine bodies were found in a home in the city of Iwaizumi in Iwate Prefecture, which suffered from floods, police said.

Rescue operations are continuing to rescue 400 people who suffered due to floods and landslides, said in accordance with the statement on the disaster prevention of prefectural service of the city. More than 1,100 people were evacuated from their homes and took refuge in state institutions across Iwaizumi.

Typhoon "Lionrock" appeared in the North-East of Japan just a week after Typhoon "Mindel" and "Compass" stormed Japan. The Typhoon passed the night in Japan later turned into heavy rain that flooded parts of the Northern island of Hokkaido, with the result that we had to evacuate the population.

Japanese state media NHK reported that one person was missing after his car was washed away in the flood. Heavy rain reached the North-East of China, in anticipation of the arrival of the Typhoon to the mainland.

The city of Hunchun in Jilin province has previously experienced drought. In dry conditions exacerbated the risk of flooding, the Director of water management Mr Chen Tie. "Hunchun were suffering from a drought to a sudden downpour, which took place last night. At first he couldn't cause much damage, because the parched land absorbed the rainwater, but the soil has already received a sufficient amount of water," said Chen. "Therefore, we will face enormous pressure to prevent a flood if the rain continues."
