President-elect Donald trump met with potential Secretary of state MITT Romney on Tuesday at a restaurant in new York.
Originally it was to join his wife, but the Chairman of the National Committee were their only guest. He will become chief of staff after trump takes the White house in January. The three men ordered garlic soup with thyme, sauteed frog legs and scallops with cauliflower as a snack, according to the journalists. All three men ate chocolate cake for dessert.
Reporters asked trump after lunch, "Will Romney's next Secretary of state?". What trump replied "we'll See how it goes". Romney spoke to reporters in the lobby, where he said he spent a "wonderful evening" with trump.
Despite the "acute" past, trump and Romney showed no hostility to each other, as they fulfill their duties. The struggle between Romney and trump were hard and personal. After losing, Romney called trump a fraud and asked Republicans to unite against him. Trump fired back, saying that he could put Romney on his knees in 2012, when Romney was looking for his approval.
"He asked for my approval, I could say,"kneel down ". He would've fallen to his knees," trump said.
