Japan will invest $44 billion in submarines and fighter jets
Japan will invest billions of dollars in new submarines, warships and stealth fighters. The budget for national defense was approved on Thursday by the Cabinet. The Ministry of defence has estimated the spending plan, about $ 44 billion to protect the Senkaku Islands.

The budget includes billions of yen six new submarines equipped with advanced sensor technology that can also be useful in relation to the Chinese problem. Analysts believe that the submarine fleet of the Japanese Maritime self-defense force, can be one of it's main strengths, with its emphasis on specific mission - defense.

"The Japanese government since 1950, is thoroughly invested in his underwater program, and basically improved not only technology, but process and procurement," said Corey Wallace, an analyst on security issues of Freie University in Berlin.

The Cabinet has approved an increase of 12% for the nation coast guard, again with a focus on protection. Japan is expected to add several new coast guard ships, including one capable of carrying a helicopter, in accordance with the budget of transport.

Earlier this month, the Chinese defense Ministry said Japanese planes had "hurt Chinese military planes up close and even started to jam shells, this action jeopardizes the safety of the Chinese plane and crew."

Looking at the other side of a potential enemy, North Korea, Japan will invest in developed ballistic missile interceptor for its ship-based missile defense system Aegis.

North Korean missile test this year reached the identification zone of Japan and Japan called them "a serious threat" to its security. Japan got its first fifth generation fighter last month when he was delivered from the factory in Texas. Future F-35C will be determined in Japan.

The new defense budget of Japan is about 1% of the gross domestic product. Even with lower costs than China, Japan produced military equipment, to be among the best in the world, analysts say. And all this despite the Constitution imposed by the United States after world war II, which is limited to forces only for defensive purposes.
