In USA police officer was killed during negotiations with the offender
In North Texas in a suburb of Dallas police detective was killed during negotiations with the offender, who was hiding out in my house and opened fire. The officer was identified as 47-year-old Jerry Walker.

Authorities say the incident occurred around 3pm local time. Walker noticed a man armed with a rifle or a shotgun outside the house. County Sheriff Denton, Lieutenant Orlando Hinojosa said officers arrived to find an armed man who was yelling at them from the back yard.

As officers surrounded the yard, the man ducked into the house and opened fire from the window, hitting the Walker in the neck. He later died from his injuries.

The father of four children, detective Walker was one of several officers who tried to talk to a man when he hid in the house, according to CBS Dallas-Fort Worth. "We pray for the police officer and his family members," said chief Brian roach.

Roach said later that the suspect was found dead in the house after a six-hour standoff. Roach did not mention the cause of death of the suspect.
