USA attacked a mosque in the village of al-Ian
The U.S. military is disputing local assertions that on Thursday, us airstrikes have killed dozens of Syrian civilians attending prayers in a mosque in the village, saying instead that the bomb was targeted and killed by militants "al-Qaeda".

In local reports, which come from the Syrian Observatory for human rights (SOHR) in the UK, says that the bomb hit the mosque in the village of al-Ian, killing at least 42 people, most of whom were civilians and injured dozens of others. The report States that the death toll is expected to increase.

The attack was also registered Syrian civil defense, better known as "white helmets", which seems to confirm allegations that the attack was made on the mosque in the village.

US official confirmed that American planes carried out an airstrike in the area, on the border of the provinces of Aleppo and Idlib, but insisted that they hit the building where it is believed, was a meeting of al-Qaeda, which killed "several terrorists". The representative reported that the strikes destroyed half of the building, which at the time of the bombing were members of "al-Qaeda".

The building was not a mosque and was not used as a mosque, the official said. In the vicinity of the mosque, he added, but recent satellite images indicate that this building was still standing.

The press Secretary said that the U.S. Central command will review any reports of civilian casualties in the area, but says he didn't bomb the mosque.

In January, a bomb destroyed the camp of terrorists "al-Qaeda", where more than 100 militants have been trained in terror. Earlier it was reported that the airstrike killed up to 300 people. SOHR said that search and rescue operations are continuing on site and reported that the death toll is likely to rise because dozens of people still buried under the rubble.
