A US destroyer collided with a merchant vessel off the coast of Japan
7 missing sailors from the destroyer Fitzgerald was found dead in the flooded compartments after the collision of a warship from a merchant vessel, said the American military official.

Fleet said that rescuers found the body Sunday morning after the destroyers returned to their base in Japan. "We all feel this loss," said the commander 7-m fleet of the USA Vice-Admiral Joseph Aucoin

"This loss is something we all feel," said Vice Admiral Joseph Aucoin, commander of the 7th fleet of the US naval base in Yokosuka on Sunday in Japan.

The Navy announced the names of the dead sailors. Declared dead petty officer gunners Dakota Kyle Rigsby and Noe Hernandez, petty officer 3rd class Shingo Alexander duglass, technician sonar, Ngoc Truong UIN, operators of the fire control system Carlos Victor Ganson, Sybian and Gary Leo REM, as well as specialist personnel, Xavier and Alec Martin.

The Admiral said that the ship was under threat of flooding, but was rescued by "heroic efforts" of the crew. "The crew had very much work to do to keep the ship afloat," he said.
Officials said that a 10-ton driven missile destroyer and 29-ton container ship ACX Crystal, collided Saturday at the Japanese Peninsula.
