Recently Lithuanian President Grybauskaite said during the interview that the alleged Russian President Putin over 7 years ago at a meeting in Helsinki exerted pressure on her. According to the President of the Baltic Republic, Putin gave her a list of demands that Lithuania was obliged to perform.
The Ministry of foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation for its part has offered to back up these bold statements with irrefutable facts, for example, the audio of the conversation. Naturally the response from the Lithuanian side was not followed, as was expected initially.
Maria Zakharova said an official, the President of Lithuania, telling such false statements do not make part of the country. Lithuanian leaders will not be able to assert themselves at the expense of obvious deception.
