The actress showed off her perfectly-shaped legs in a pair of denim hot pants on the set of her new movie Bad Teacher earlier this week. Teddy Bass, who has helped her keep in shape for years, insists it isn`t hard to get limbs as toned as the 37-year-old star`s.
"Weight training and Pilates seems to be the best combination for women over 30," he said. "Women need weight - it`s great for building the butt. And elongation and smallness is tapped by doing Pilates."
Cameron?s routine includes a step-up coupled with a reverse lunge, squats and side lunges teamed with side steps. The moves are designed to work the upper thighs, while weights are used to work the rest of the leg. Teddy advises using 10lb or 20lb weights to get fast results.
The actress and trainer go to the gym as much as they can, with Teddy adept at coming up with quick work-outs when Cameron has work commitments. "You can do a great Pilates session in 45 minutes. If you have an hour-and-a-half, we`ll do half weights and half Pilates and flexibility work," he told Us Weekly magazine. "I keep the workout as high-paced as possible because of time restraints. Generally, it has a cardio element."
Teddy added there is no need to join a gym to get in shape, as everything he and Cameron do can be practiced at home. He recommends buying some weights and working out three to five times a week. "As long as you`re doing cardiovascular [work] three to five times a week, leg exercises that build your glutes and working on your elongation with yoga and Pilates, you`ll change [your] appearance," he told the publication.
