The Australian singer is now 18 years old, and admits she struggled to cope with her fame at such a young age. In the years since, she has totally adjusted to her new life, but still misses her family from time to time.
"It was crazy because I went from being a Melbourne schoolgirl to a recording artist," Gabriella told BBC Radio 2 DJ Steve Wright. "I had to learn to be quite mature, to go into adult mode I guess.
"The only thing I really miss is my family and my grandmother cooking me home-cooked meals but I traded my school books to play the main stage at Glastonbury. There are a few sacrifices I have made, but nothing beats doing that."
Gabriella still can`t believe the success she has had. She names appearing on British music show Later? with Jools Holland as one of the highlights of her career, and admits she still thinks about the experience often.
"I was on Jools Holland about two years ago now," she said. "That was one of the greatest moments of my life, because I had this massive dream board at home where I put all pictures of people I wanted to meet and all the shows that I wanted to go on and Jools Holland was right at the top.
"I used to stay up late to watch that show, and then I was on it! I was so nervous I had to do laps of the studio to calm my nerves down!"
