David Hasselhoff was reportedly hospitalised

The actor has battled an alcohol problem for many years, and has previously sought help to try to conquer his drinking issues. According to gossip website RadarOnline, David was taken to a medical centre in the Los Angeles vicinity on Sunday by his 17-year-old daughter Hayley.

The site alleges the 57-year-old had been drinking alcohol for three days prior to the incident.

"I`m sure he`ll try to deny it," a source told the site. "And that`s sad, because it`s his daughter who is suffering when she has to take care of him after a bender."

It has been claimed David has been hospitalised five times for alcohol-related issues over the last five years. Last November, his representative denied reports he was placed under a psychiatric hold after being admitted to a clinic having suffered a reported seizure.

David`s ex-wife Pamela Bach, with who he has Hayley and 20-year-old Taylor Ann, was recently jailed after pleading no contest to Driving Under the Influence (DUI). She was sentenced to 90 days in prison as she was found to be in breach of her probation from her previous DUI. Pamela was also banned from driving for two years.

"It`s a tough situation for that family," a source explained to the site. "The parents have problems and don`t get along. There`s a lot of denial going on and the kids are suffering because of it."
