Tori Spelling`s husband Dean McDermott has vowed to give up dirt biking after leaving intensive care following his crash.
The reality star was taken to a hospital in Los Angeles after suffering a collapsed lung on Tuesday. He had been on a dirt bike trail with friends when the accident happened. Tori revealed her "biggest fear" had been realised when she saw Dean in hospital and admitted she wanted him to quit the sport for the sake of their two children, Liam, three, and two-year-old Stella.
The 43-year-old has now spoken out about the incident and revealed more details of what happened.
"FYI- Tuesday I went out for a dirt bike ride with my friends, I ended smashing my chest into my bars as I went over the front of the bike," he wrote on his Twitter account. "It was a freak accident. We still can`t figure out what happened. None the less, I have a collapsed lung and bad bruising on my right side.
"Oh, and 3 stitches in my right butt cheek where a stone got imbedded. Let`s just say, I won`t be dirt biking anymore."
Tori was thrilled to learn her husband had left intensive care yesterday and took to her Twitter account to reassure her fans that his condition was improving.
"Kids and I are about to go see @deanracer He`s been moved from ICU to a regular room! Yay! I`ll tell him everyone sends their love!" Tori Tweeted.
"I said to @deanracer `Babe do u want anything?` He said `Oreo McFlurry!` So his spirits are up despite all the pain."
Dean is expected to make a full recovery but could remain in hospital for a few more days.
