According to a new tax lien filed last Friday (30.07.10) - which has been obtained by gossip website TMZ - the reality TV star owes $18,490.74 to the State of California.
The sum dates back to 2007 when the fly-on-the-wall show `Keeping Up with the Kardashians` - in which Khloe appears with her family, including sisters Kourtney and Kim and their mother Kris Jenner - first aired.
The 26-year-old socialite`s representative is yet to comment on the claims.
Khloe - who is married to Los Angeles Lakers basketball player Lamar Odom - is the latest in a long line of celebrities to fall foul of the US tax system.
Last week, Chris Tucker was reported to owe a staggering $11.5 million in unpaid taxes to the Internal Revenue Service (IRS) after failing to pay in 2001, 2002, 2004, 2005 and 2006.
In 2007, Jennifer Lopez`s husband Marc Anthony was ordered to pay $2.5 million in back taxes, after he failed to file returns from 2000 to 2004 - a period when he is believed to have earned $15.5 million.
Similarly, `National Treasure` actor Nicolas Cage was forced to sell off many of his assets - including properties, yachts and a 67-million-year-old dinosaur skull worth $276,000 - after being hit with a $6.3 million tax bill last year.
