The actor- and-director has admitted that he feels extra pressure for a movie to perform well at the box office when he has directed it.
Speaking about waiting for viewing figures for his new movie `The Town`, he said: "It is very scary. You work just as hard on movies that work as those that don`t I can assure you. Particularly directing - you spend two years working on it and it comes down to one weekend!"
However Ben has come up with a novel way to ensure success for his latest work.
The 38-year-old star - whose new movie about a group of bank robbers in Boston features a number of Irish villains - revealed he plans to charm people from the Emerald Isle in the hope that it will help the Irish community in Boston to accept his film.
He told `Daybreak`: "I`m going to suck up to the Irish people in Ireland and hope for an occurring favour with the Irish people in Boston!"
Ben started his charm offensive on 20.09.10 when he visits Dublin for a screening of his film at the Jameson Dublin International Film Festival.
