The troubled actress - who completed a three-month court-ordered programme at the Betty Ford rehabilitation clinic in January - is determined to follow a new healthier lifestyle since her release and has been working out with a personal trainer every morning after giving up the habit a week ago.
While Lindsay has until March 25 to decide whether to accept a plea bargain for six months jail time after being accused of grand theft felony regarding a $2,500 necklace from jewellers Kamofie & Company, Lynwood Correctional Facility - where has previously served time after breaching the terms of probation set for her 2007 driving under the influence (DUI) conviction - is a non-smoking facility.
Meanwhile, Lindsay, 24, has recently been granted permission by the court to leave Los Angeles and travel to New York with her family.
The Lohan family home - where Dina lives with Ali, 17, and her other children, Cody, 14, and 23-year-old Michael Jr. with ex-husband Michael Lohan - is situated in Long Island and Dina revealed the family are delighted the actress has been allowed to leave California to return home with them for a holiday.
She said: "We are all excited that the family gets to all be together in New York."
However, the `Machete` star was less excited to arrive in New York, tweeting about the hordes of paparazzi who greeted her at JFK airport.
She wrote: "love ny - but the paparazzi @ jfk just gave me an anxiety attack? i was half asleep! they`re such animals :( well - @ least im with my family in the end... xo. (sic)"
