Putin cut the wages Medvedev
The President of the Russian Federation has reduced his salary by 10% from 1 March. Wages among other things reduced the Prime Minister, the Prosecutor General and the head of the Investigative Committee.

"To pay from March 1 through December 31, 2015 to the President of the Russian Federation, Chairman of the RF government, individuals, monetary remuneration, which is calculated in accordance with decrees of the President of Russia from September 30, 2004 N 1260 "About the remuneration of the heads of some of the Federal bodies of Executive power" and dated 30 September 2013 N 742 "On currency remuneration of the persons occupying a separate state offices of Russia, persons equated to them for wages in accordance with Federal laws, the Prosecutor General of Russia and the Chairman of the Investigative Committee of Russia monetary reward, monthly monetary promotion and quarterly monetary incentive reduced by 10%", - is told in the document published on the website of the Kremlin. As noted, the decree comes into force from the day of its signing.

Note, in early December 2014 Vladimir Putin signed amendments to the law on civil service, suspending on year rate of about indexing on the level of the economic stagnation of salaries of the officials working in the administration of the President, the government, the chamber of accounts, Ministry of foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation and its territorial bodies. The question of the reduction of wages was concerned also in the Parliament.

In addition, the state Duma speaker Sergei Naryshkin asked faction of Commerce to discuss the possibility of reducing the salaries of the deputies. This initiative was supported by all 4 factions. In the Duma, estimated that this measure will save 200 million rubles per year.

Naryshkin was supported by the Federation Council speaker Valentina Matvienko. Domestic senators decided to reduce his salary by 10% and to turn away from buying new equipment. On March 4 decision on salary was formalised.
